Laundry
For years, whenever someone did an internet search for “kirsten hudson” two things came up. #1 was my Australian counterpart, a film/art student who wrote about feminism and craft and #2 was an article that I wrote, years ago, about how to do laundry. Virtually every job interview I’ve ever had has brought up that article (I have yet to be mistaken for the Australian, however, which surprises me).
I’m not surprised, however, at the legs on that article. Laundry is seminal. When I left New York I made a note in my datebook “last laundry.” I knew that my laundry situation would improve in Los Angeles. And it has. But still, I have unmet needs in that department. Laundry and a 2nd bedroom. Who needs more.
